• Dear Students, Staff, Parents, and Community Members,

I am pleased to introduce myself as the new principal of Mather Heights Elementary School beginning this school year 2023-2024. I am very honored and excited to join such a wonderful community of educators, parents, and students. As an instructional leader, I commit myself to achieving academic excellence with the vision of providing all students with a high-quality education in a safe and inclusive environment to prepare them for secondary education.  I have served in many capacities as an educator for 32 years, including classroom teacher, English Language Arts/English Language Development coach, testing coordinator, assistant principal at Cordova High School from 2018 to 2023, and summer school principal for three consecutive years (2021-2023).  I have also been involved in many curriculum and assessment committees at the district and state levels, most particularly in English Language Arts and English Language Development. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in Education - English Language Teaching, a National Board Certification in English as a New Language, and an administrative services credential.

Every child has the potential to be a successful learner, and I firmly believe that it is our responsibility as educators to help them achieve that potential. I am committed to working closely with teachers, parents, and community members to create a positive and supportive learning environment for our students. By working together, we can ensure that our students receive the best possible education.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you to make Mather Heights the best it can be. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. GO FLYERS!!!
