Hello Mather Heights Families!
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year. This certainly is the most unique yet! It is an honor to be principal of such an amazing school community. The partnerships and support between school and home have never been so instrumental in educating our students during Distance Learning and beyond.
I am proud to say I am in my 25th year as an educator. The majority of those years were spent in the classroom as an upper elementary teacher. I earned a Bachelor’s of Arts at Saint Mary’s College of California, located in the beautiful town of Moraga. While attending San Jose State University, I earned a Master’s of Arts, as well as a multiple subject teaching credential. My teaching career began in the Evergreen School District in San Jose with my educational path leading me to the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. I achieved National Board for Professional Teaching in 2005, renewing my certification in 2015. My most recent professional accomplishments include earning my Administrative Credential from the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), and attending the 2019-20 SCOE Principals’ Academy. As you can see, I believe in lifelong learning and working to achieve your goals and dreams. All of this work has led me to Mather Heights, where the “Sky’s the Limit” (or is it)?
I look forward to growing and learning as a community.
Wendy Sol, Proud Principal
