I am honored to be working with each of your unique children. I am blessed with a very funny, creative, and helpful group of students. I am committed to helping each child meet new goals, learn new concepts, express themselves constructively, and have fun in the process. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or any ideas that might help me meet the needs of your child. I am here to serve your students and the community!

Mrs. Jessica Waugh

Welcome to our class website. Here's a little info about me: When I was as young as the students in my class, I was "playing school" and pretending to be a teacher.  I aspired to be an educator at a young age and have always loved learning.  I've been inspired by some phenomenal educators and mentors over the years, and now I am happy to be using my skill set in the kindergarten classroom.  I am enjoying teaching kindergarten immensely and I believe in giving your students my best.  Kindergarten is a pivotal time in a student's life and the support, structure, and high expectations that are set in place in kindergarten become a foundation for student success throughout their education.  I teach my students to have positive attitudes, to remember to breathe, and to treat others with kindness.  Kindergarteners are little sponges, so in Room 1 we are constantly productive by practicing developmentally appropriate skills, behaviors, and content specific activities.  Your students and I are working very hard every day in Room 1 and your home support and friendly faces are much appreciated. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
Besides being a teacher, I am a wife, a dog lover, a tennis player, a hiker, and a big-haired nature lover. When I am not in the classroom, I love being outside and breathing the clean, fresh air.
