Hi, my name is Lanette Crowley and I will be your child's 2nd grade teacher this year. As a resident and parent in Folsom, I am thrilled to begin my tenth year here as a part of the Russell Ranch team and my 27th year of teaching in the district. I will only have your child for a short time, but I intend to make a contribution that will last a lifetime.
My philosophy includes having a love for learning, helping my students to develop their own motivation to learn and grow socially, emotionally and academically. My classroom is a safe, fun and disciplined place to learn. My desire is that your child will enjoy coming to class and learning something new each day. I feel that all children are unique and require specific attention and affection for them to flourish. I will strive to be that for all of my students, a teacher who loves each child in her class and gives each of them not only an education but an environment in which to thrive.
As educators, we are creating thoughtful plans that adapt to changing learning environments, making decisions about instruction, and ensuring that we continue to support students' social-emotional needs. Our team is making efforts to deliver the types of rigorous learning experience we know your child deserves. This year will certainly be fun and challenging. As in every school year, things can and will come up - they always do! I believe whole heartedly that a successful year starts with open communication lines between families and teachers.
