Sundahl is having an amazing year!
With support from PTA and parent volunteers, we have brought back enrichment assemblies, after-school clubs, field trips, and special events like Starstruck Showcase and the Dolphin Dash. (The photo above is one of our celebratory activities that accompanied the Dolphin Dash; Mrs. McCusker's students raised the most funds for PTA and got to soak me with water balloons!)
We continue to work hard to build community and connectedness at school. Students begin their day with welcoming activities and morning meetings, and we have started a new school wide cross-age buddy program.
Staff are working collaboratively to support differentiation. Grade level reading and math interventions are in place, and teachers are using recently established common planning time to focus on helping all students master essential standards.
If you are new to Sundahl, we encourage you to get involved! Meet with your child's teacher, volunteer in classrooms and on field trips, and help with school-wide activities (like January's Multicultural Fair!) that enrich our site in wonderful ways.
My door is always open to you. Please reach out with questions, suggestions, or concerns.
