    Welcome to Chemistry and AP Environmental Science!
     
    Google Classroom is the portal for all work, assignments and communication.  Additionally, we will use myAPClassroom for APES and an online portal for the HMH Chemistry curriculum (link to online textbook and HMH Portal is through Clever).  Please check ensure you have access to PowerSchool and Google Classroom using your FCUSD login information.
     
    FAQ: There is NO SUMMER HOMEWORK FOR APES!  Enjoy summer!
     
    RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES:  Chemistry and AP Environmental Science students will need access to an electronic device with a webcam/camera such as a laptop or a chromebook and internet in order to access the programs and materials.  Please contact school administration if you are in need of these items.  Basic school supplies such as paper or a notebook, a scientific calculator, pens, pencils and highlighters will be used--I recommend a bound pad of graph paper to leave in the classroom as a lab journal--I have some available for use as needed.  We recognize that many families wish to provide supplies for their own student or donate materials to the school and are welcome to do so at any time.  The supplies listed are suggested materials and are not required of any student or family to fully participate in the school's academic program.  All required materials and supplies will be provided by schools to students at no cost.
     
    DONATIONS WELCOME:  
    We use a lot of consumables in our Science programs and are hoping you can help with donations when possible this year.  Here are some items that we use regularly and can always use.  Thank you in advance for helping support our learning environment!

    • plastic containers (individual for lab storage or in sets of 8 for labs)
    • dish soap
    • blue masking tape
    • craft & office supplies (especially blue/black pens)
    • food coloring

    COURSE EXPECTATIONS:  Chemistry and AP Environmental Science Course Expectations will be available on Google Classroom.  Parents may request access to Google Classroom or email request for an electronic or paper copy.
