Welcome to Math...the only subject that counts:)I'm looking forward to a great year helping you all be successful mathematicians. I want you to be successful & know you can be if you put forth the effort and ask for help when you need it. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask for help during class. If you need additional help, please email me (include your class period) or set up a time to meet with me during Advisory or lunchtime. As we transition back to school after summer vacation, set up a routine and work on building good study habits. Don't procrastinate; get your work finished and corrected on time, to not only help your grade, but more importantly, help your learning. Stay focused, take notes, participate, ask questions, complete/correct all work, and study for assessments.
Oh, and did I mention, don't be afraid to ask for help!?!Math is AWESOME...and the only place where someone can buy 72 watermelons and 81 pineapples and nobody wonders why:)

Important Information
Notes, assignments, and solutions to homework are posted in Google Classroom on the Classwork page.
Take notes and show your work in your packet or on binder paper attached to your packet if you need more room. (Only C1 has packets; C2: do work in your notebook) Remember...you must show work as shown in class or you receive no credit for those problems.
Check your grade weekly in Power School to see how you're doing and see if you have any missing work. Do NOT check Google Classroom for your grade; the information in Power School is what counts!
Retakes are available but you must meet certain requirements to be able to do the retake and the maximum score you can earn is 90%. Retakes are usually scheduled on a Friday after school. Check out the Class Policies to be sure you understand the process. Still have questions??? Ask for clarification:)
Late work is subject to a penalty but is accepted up until the time of the test that covers the assignment; after that, it earns no points.
Always remember...I'm here to help you be successful. Don't be afraid to ask for help:)
