Welcome Back FCUSD!

The beginning of a new school year is always filled with excitement, optimism, and possibility, and that energy has been evident across FCUSD as we welcomed students back to our campuses. Throughout the summer, our teachers, support staff, administrators, and district teams worked hard to prepare for a strong start, and it has been wonderful to see our schools once again filled with the sights, sounds, and smiles of students.

This year, we remain committed to providing every student with an exceptional educational experience. That begins with ensuring our classrooms are places where students are challenged, supported, and inspired every day. We will continue our focus on rigorous, engaging instruction that helps every student grow academically while preparing them for success in college, career, and life.

School should also be a place where students experience joy. While learning is serious work, we believe students thrive when they feel connected, engaged, and excited to come to school each day. From academics and the arts to athletics, clubs, performances, and school traditions, we'll continue working to create schools that are not only places of learning, but places where students build friendships, discover passions, create lasting memories and quite simply, have fun!

Just as important, we remain committed to Systemwide Connectedness. Every student, family, and community member should feel welcomed, valued, and supported whenever they interact with our schools. Whether you're visiting a front office, attending a school event, speaking with a teacher, or calling one of our departments, we want every interaction to reflect the care, professionalism, and customer service our community deserves.

We know every school year brings both celebrations and challenges. There will be moments of great success, and there may be times when students or families need a little extra support. Please know that you are not alone. Our teachers, classified staff, principals, counselors, and support teams are here to partner with you every step of the way. Together, we'll celebrate accomplishments, navigate challenges, and ensure every student has the opportunity to let their individual gifts shine.

Thank you for your continued trust, partnership, and support of the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. It is an honor to serve this incredible community, and I am excited for all that lies ahead.
