Superintendent's Office
FCUSD Community,
As we move into the 2025–26 school year, I want to share the focus that will guide us throughout the year: connectedness.
Connectedness is more than simply being together. It’s about truly knowing one another—listening, supporting, and holding each other to high expectations because we care. When students feel seen, supported, and challenged, they thrive. And when families, schools, and staff are deeply connected, our entire community grows stronger.
This year, we are centering our work on a mindset we call the Warm Demander—educators and leaders who combine high care with high expectations. In every classroom, on every campus, and in every role across the district, we are committed to relationships that lift students up while helping them reach their fullest potential.
This mindset extends to all of us—educators, caregivers, neighbors, and community members. Together, we hold high expectations for what our students can achieve, and we pair those expectations with deep care, compassion, and connection. These aren’t opposing forces—they are what make our schools exceptional.
As we journey through this year, I invite us all to stay connected:
- To our students—by honoring their voices and encouraging their dreams
- To one another—by showing up with trust, collaboration, and kindness
- To our families—by strengthening the partnerships that support learning inside and outside the classroom
This year we ensure every student knows they belong, every family feels welcomed, and every staff member feels valued. That’s The FC Way—where care and high expectations fuel excellence.
Here’s to a joyful, connected, and impactful school year.
With appreciation and excitement,
