FCUSD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC)

Mission Statement

The Coordinated School Health Program at the Folsom Cordova Unified School District is committed to providing excellence in health programs and services that enable all students to achieve and maintain an optimal state of health and well-being, reach their full academic potential, and developed into healthy, productive adults who take personal responsibility for their own health.

At Folsom Cordova Unified School District our School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is made up of community partners, district staff, mental health specialists, health professionals, parents and students. Together, we work to improve the health of our students and families through coordinated school health programs.

If you are interested or would like to learn more about SHAC contact Amanda Turkes at aturkes@fcusd.org or 916-294-9013

Together, we work to improve the health of our students and families utilizing the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC Model).  For more information on the model, visit the Virtual Healthy School at https://www.cdc.gov/healthyschools/vhs/index.html.
