Dear Families,
We remain committed to keeping your student and our school community healthy with minimal disruption to their instructional learning. Students who are not contagious may come to school.
When to stay home from school:
If your student has any of the following symptoms, please keep them home and notify the school until they are well enough to return:
- Fever of 100.4°F or higher (without medication)
- New cough or congestion*
- Yellow or green discharge from eyes, ears, or nose
- Multiple episodes of vomiting or diarrhea
- Severe sore throat, especially with other symptoms
- Unexplained rash or pink eye (requires medical clearance)
- Other signs of illness
*For students with chronic conditions, a medical note is required for any new or worsening symptoms to confirm they are not contagious.
When can my student return to school?
Students may return to school when they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication and symptom-free for 48 hours after a GI-related illness. As always, please encourage students to practice good hygiene by washing their hands and covering coughs and sneezes.
Our schools have health assistants and nurses on site should your student ever have a health concern or question. If you have any questions, please contact your school’s front office for assistance.
