Facilities Comprehensive Plan

We are excited to announce the development of a new Facilities Comprehensive Plan for the District. This plan will help shape the future of our facilities, ensuring they align with the needs and aspirations of our district and community.

What is a Facilities Comprehensive Plan and why is it important?

  • A Facilities Comprehensive Plan is a strategic document that sets a vision for the next ten years of future facility improvements. With school districts facing so many diverse and ever-changing educational needs, a facilities comprehensive plan establishes a clear road map for using, improving, and creating new campus facilities that best fit the needs of each school. It defines facility improvements that will directly enhance and support educational programs of the school.
  • The plan is not a funding source nor does funding automatically come with it. It's a plan of how school district facility funds, when available, may be used to support educational objectives.

We look forward to hosting several community meetings to collaborate with the community so the plan becomes a collective reflection and vision of the shared values unique to Folsom Cordova Unified School District. For a schedule of community meetings can be found here: Facility Comprehensive Plan Community Meetings

Once completed, the Facilities Comprehensive Plan will be presented to the Board of Education for approval; which currently anticipated to be August, 2025.
