Wellness Support

Folsom Cordova Unified School District is committed to promoting student wellness to help all students achieve academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success. Through the intentional alignment of initiatives and resources, we commit to supporting the needs of the whole-child. The Strategic Initiatives and Support Services Department works closely with the Social Emotional Learning & Educational Equity Department and the  Attendance and Due Process & Safety Department to support the wellness of our students, staff and families. Programs in the Strategic Initiatives Department include:

  • School-based Mental Health/Student Wellness Team Clinicians
  • Community Schools initiative
  • Positive School Climate/Climate Facilitators
  • PBIS implementation
  • Family Engagement/Parent Coordinators
  • Improvement Science Coaching

Student wellness is supported by FCUSD through a variety of services ranging from school wellness campaigns to more intensive and individualized support programs.  We also work closely with partners and community service agencies for additional service considerations to best support our students and families.

This website contains well-being and mental health resources for students, families, and staff. It also contains information on how to submit a request for contact from a school social worker and on how to access community-based services.

We are happy to share a virtual Calming Room. This site is a place for students, parents, and staff to find tools, activities, and strategies for managing stress and overwhelm. Take some time for yourself and explore!
