Human Resources Best Practices

The Human Resources team provided information on departmental operations in hiring and overseeing FCUSD employees.

The attached presentation describes the best practices, policies, and procedures used by the Human Resources department including recruitment & selection, onboarding, providing support & development, training, processing complaints about employees, engaging in progressive discipline, and the plan for communication. This includes certificated staff, classified staff, management, coaches, and volunteers.

Cyber Safety and Drug Awareness Presentation

Earlier this week, FCUSD provided a Cyber Safety and Drug Awareness forum and presentation to parents and guardians to share ways to keep kids safe from the dangers of online predators and illegal drugs. Presenters included safety experts from FCUSD, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, and the District Attorney’s Office.

Topics included ways that online predators are using different electronic communication platforms to reach and deceive children, along with tools and strategies that parents/guardians can use to keep children safe. Of the illegal drugs that are circulating, fentanyl use has increased at alarming rates and has taken the lives of many. All FCUSD schools have Narcan available and trained staff in case a fentanyl overdose occurs.

Please take time to watch the entire presentation which contains valuable information and resources to help keep our youth safe. Click on the link below:
