Substance abuse prevention, February 13 (virtual webinar)
Folsom Cordova USD - Health Services, Tobacco Prevention programs, is pleased to host guest presenter, Shari Egeland, M.S., M.F.T., Associate Director and Research Specialist of Omni Youth Programs. This 1-hour virtual presentation will address: impacts of substance use on the adolescent brain, trends in substance use, health impacts of vaping (marijuana & nicotine), signs of use/addiction, tips on having conversations about substances with your child, and resources. Internet Safety for Kids & Teens, February 21, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. (virtual webinar)
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Sacramento Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation will present a webinar on internet safety. Topics covered will be how to protect your child from sextortion and human trafficking. Please see the attached flyer with information on how to register.
