All school websites, including the main District website, have been redesigned and relaunched as of today. The main website URL remains www.fcusd.org
School website URLs have changed. Finding your school website is easy. Head over to the main site. At the top right corner, you will see SCHOOLS. Click on that drop-down link to find your school’s website and bookmark it for future reference. Or, to see a complete list of new school website URLs please see the attachment.
While we're enthusiastic about the launch, we recognize that creating a great online experience over 37 websites takes time. As such, we ask for your patience, understanding, and helpful feedback as we continue to upload information and improve the websites in the coming weeks and months.

FCUSD names the next Superintendent
As a follow-up to last night’s announcement at the Board Meeting, Erik Swanson has been named the next Superintendent. Check your email for the full announcement or visit our Facebook post HERE.
The District will host two meet-and-greet events for the community to meet Mr. Swanson. All are welcome to attend.

Welcome Mr. Swanson to Team FCUSD!!
School Facility Improvement District (SFID#3) Advisory Committee Recommendations
The Board appointed the SFID #3 Advisory Committee, made up of community members from Rancho Cordova and Folsom, to make recommendations concerning solutions for building new schools south of HWY 50. The committee has been charged to address the following topics:
- Locations of new schools that meet the needs of both cities.
- Ensuring equitable distribution of funding remaining for Measure M.
- Methods to fund facility costs, including the issuing of new bonds or increasing taxes in excess of $500 per $100k of assessed value using Measure M funds.
The committee met on March 11 and April 15 and will meet again on May 20. Staff will provide an update on the committee’s recommendations at an upcoming Board Meeting.
School Resource Officer contracts renewed
The Board approved the School Resource Officers (SROs) Agreements with the City of Folsom Police Department and Sacramento County Sheriff's Office for the 2024-2025 School Year.* You may read them by clicking on the links below:
*Agreements will have updated language to state each city will have two (2) SRO assignments.
Land Acknowledgement Statement update
Approximately three (3) years ago, FCUSD began the development of a Land Acknowledgment Statement. Work began with researching examples from surrounding districts and public agencies. During this time the Native American Parent Advisory Committee (NAPAC) expressed interest in collaborating with FCUSD staff on initiatives to support Native American students, including potential grant funding through Title VI.
District staff is working in collaboration with NAPAC members and anticipates a final recommendation for a Land Acknowledgement Statement to be presented to the Board for consideration at the May 16 Board meeting.

Williamson Elementary highlighted: In the Loop with the Supt!

SAB International Night unites the community
Dozens of families and students joined for an evening of unity as the Student Advisory Board (SAB) hosted its 2nd annual International Night at Cordova High School. From traditional musical performances to cultural exhibits and a captivating fashion show, the evening was a testament to the talent and dedication of the diverse students and staff, who shared their cultures with the community. FCUSD at Kids Day in the Park
Team FCUSD was out at Hagan Community Park over the weekend, connecting with hundreds of children and families at the 34th Annual Kids Day. The 'Super Science' themed event, sponsored by the Cordova Community Council, provided free interactive games and activities for children.
