FCUSD first day of school tomorrow and summer recap

Dear FCUSD Community,

Tomorrow is the first day of school and we cannot wait to see our students! Over the summer we’ve had a multitude of activities taking place across the District. Read below for a quick recap on how we have been getting ready to welcome your students to school and be sure to click on the links to learn more.

Summer staff activity

We have beautiful schools and classrooms, thanks to our Facilities Department who have worked on landscaping, and improvements throughout campuses and classrooms to the highest standards over the last several weeks. Site principals and District leadership have been working together to coordinate strategies for student success. Teachers and staff have gone through extensive training and professional development, including over 150 new teachers who have been onboarded! Staff have participated in a variety of training focused on safety, music enrichment, CTE skill-based learning and exciting new additions to meal offerings for students.

Student summer success stories

Learning never stops at FCUSD and over the summer, many of our students enjoyed rewarding experiences as they furthered their education. Summer high school graduations, CTE internships for high school students, performing arts opportunities, and learning opportunities for the Extended School Year were taking place.

August 8 - First Day of School
