New website look for FCUSD, Oct 4

Dear FCUSD Community

The District website will be getting a new look. The web address www.fcusd.org will stay the same, but the site will look different. The new website will have a refreshing and more visually appealing layout. Information will be reorganized by topic, information consolidated and highly sought-out elements easier to find.

Members from the Communication and Community Engagement Department and ETIS are working collaboratively to migrate content and design layouts.

The new website will be live by Monday, October 10. Many features will continue to update and evolve over the coming weeks.

Some of the biggest changes you’ll notice will be updated categories at the top of the main page, more icons for highly accessed content, and more space for posting pictures.

Redesigning the decades-old website is a large effort and one that will need fine-tuning in the weeks ahead.

We ask for your patience as it will take time to migrate the many components of the current pages to newer presentations. 

What’s next? 

School website updates will follow.

Once the main District website has been launched, we will work with school sites individually to redesign their websites for a fresh new look, beginning with elementary schools and alternative education sites, then moving to middle schools, and finishing with the three large high schools. Our goal is to be finished by winter break.
