FCUSD Homeschool program featured

A special presentation was given by Principal Kirk, and the staff, families, and students of the Folsom Cordova Community Charter Homeschool. See their presentation HERE and a picture of the family, teacher and principal who presented HERE!

FCUSD’s homeschool program allows parents to be the teachers, customizing curriculum and schedule so their students may learn at a pace that works best for them. This exciting and alternative learning program is open to K - 8th grade students. Resolutions

Recognizing the Dangers of Fentanyl: Resolution No. 11-03-22-08 was passed.

Folsom Cordova Unified School District recognizes the dangers of fentanyl and supports the work at all levels to protect the well-being of youth.  Folsom Cordova Unified will collaborate with the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) to address the dangers of fentanyl specific to youth and work with municipalities and educational organizations to share important and timely information to help keep our youth safe.  Please see the attachment.

Food Allergies/Special Dietary Needs: Resolution Reinforcing Implementation of Board Policy 5141.27 was passed. 

The Board removed a restriction that was in place during the height of the pandemic that limited the ability to bring outside food to share with others at school.  Students, staff, and families are now permitted to share non-prepackaged outside food items on District campuses. Please check with your student’s school for specific instructions. Please see the attachment.

Safety Committee Update

The Safety Advisory Committee was created to provide advisory assistance to the FCUSD school board and staff. The committee meets quarterly and last met on October 5, 2022, with an attendance of 50 individuals, made up of staff, community members, and students.

Folsom Cordova Unified School District was honored by the Public Relations Society of America, California Capital Chapter with three awards in the categories of Media Relations, Special Events and External Community Relations Campaigns.
