Dear FCUSD Community,

Happy New Year! We welcomed our students back to school this week, amidst rainy and windy weather. While the effects of the storm were felt, we are pleased to report that all schools were able to remain open and operational with power and internet.

Next week's forecast calls for more storms. We will continue to keep you updated on any impacts or changes to schedules.

Attendance matters 

Every day a student spends in school is important for their academic and social growth. Staff at schools are placing a strong emphasis on attendance because we want our students to thrive in their learning and with positive school experiences. 

We also know that if a student is often absent or tardy, there might be challenges we don’t know about. We strive to be your partners in education and want our families to know that there are many ways our District can provide help or support. Your school’s principal, teacher, or staff can help get you connected.

Info Night and Early Registration for Transitional Kindergarten (TK)

FCUSD is excited to invite you to our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) 2023-24 Early Registration & Information Night

• When: January 25, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 
• Where: Education Services Center (District Office, 1965 Birkmont Drive, Rancho Cordova

TK is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program available to bridge the path between preschool and Kindergarten.

NOTE: Attendance is not required. You may register later at your home boundary school.
