Registration for the 2023-24 school year opens February 1!

Online registration for the 2023-24 school year through InfoSnap begins on February 1. Families will need to have their PowerSchool username and password ready to access and register their student(s). Not sure about your PowerSchool username and password? Your school’s front office can help you!

WeTip reporting is now live!

FCUSD has launched the WeTip reporting system. If you have any information regarding bullying, crime, or misconduct at your school, report it to WeTip. Call or text 844-916-2062 or use this secure link to launch a report.

Reports can be made anonymously. Reports will be received by the Coordinator of Safe Schools and the school’s site administration for immediate investigative action.

Fentanyl Parent Awareness Night - Zoom

An online opportunity to learn more about the dangers of Fentanyl will be offered by Arrive Alive California Inc. and in partnership with the Sacramento County District Attorney's office. For more information, please see the attached flyer and information below.

The presentation has a dynamic group of presenters including: 

• Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab - Kristel Suchland
• Deputy District Attorney - Sonia Satchell
• Dept. of Health Services Division Manager - Lori Miller

New curriculum review for high school Health Education

FCUSD high school Health teachers have been reviewing Health textbooks to provide both textbook and digital curricula to our students. Health class has been and continues to be a state and graduation requirement for high school students, and there are no changes to the course. After a thorough review, teachers recommend that we replace the current textbook Positive Prevention Plus, with Comprehensive Health Skills by Goodheart-Wilcox.  

The new textbook Comprehensive Health Skills addresses California Health Education standards and aligns with the California Health Youth Act, and The National Health Education Standards.  Comprehensive Health Skills will have an online component that will be useful for enrichment activities and homework, and will be helpful to absent students, students on independent study, and students enrolled in alternative high schools. 

Parents and families who would like to review the textbook may do so in person at Education Services Center (ESC) this week through Friday, February 10.
