Update: Message to FCUSD Secondary Families

Good Morning Secondary Families,

The District received confirmation from Sacramento County Public Health (SCPH), that our County will transition to the “Red Tier” tomorrow, March 16th which will allow us to have 7th – 12th graders on campus for Hybrid instruction the following day, Wednesday, March 17.

7th – 12th-grade students:
All middle and high schools will welcome 7th – 12th-grade students who have decided to return to “in-person learning” back to campus beginning Wednesday, March 17. As a reminder, students in Group A will come to campus on Wednesday. Students in Group B will come to campus on Thursday and Friday.

6th-grade students:
As a point of clarification, Mills and Mitchell Middle Schools will have 6th-grade students, and 6th grade only, on their campuses beginning tomorrow, March 16.

Please watch for specific information to come from your school site principal and teachers.

We are excited that secondary students will be able to be on campus this week. For many of our students and staff, this may feel like a first day of school. And like any new experience, there will be a period of adjustment. The expectation for staff and students is to allow themselves grace and patience to adjust to the newness of concurrent learning and the excitement of seeing each other in person. This week will be centered around building connections with each other and with technology.
