Update: Message to FCUSD Secondary Families
February 26, 2021
Dear FCUSD secondary families:
We have been in correspondence with Sacramento County Public Health (SCPH) and responded to their request for revisions, regarding our application to allow 6th grade for in-person Hybrid instruction. The reply we received from SCPH is as follows:
“We received the FCUSD Safety Plan re-submission this morning, thank you for the revisions. As a reminder, once revisions are re-submitted the local health jurisdiction has 7 days for review. This time window allows the school team to carefully review the plan and provide comprehensive feedback. The SCPH school team will complete this review as quickly as possible.”
Given this notice from public health, we will remain in full Distance Learning at all middle and high schools next week.
Public health has seven days to respond to our revisions. We will notify all faculty, staff, and families next week when we learn about the option to return 6th grade to in-person instruction.
We have not yet heard from public health if our application to return all secondary, for in-person Hybrid instruction in the Purple Tier has been approved. We will keep faculty, staff, and families informed as information is shared from public health.
All future updates will be shared next week. Please enjoy your weekend.
