Update: Message to the FCUSD Community
February 24, 2021
Dear FCUSD Community: Please see today’s message with important updates
COVID-19 Dashboard update
The FCUSD COVID Dashboard has been updated as of today. Please visit: www.fcusd.org/COVID
Secondary students, Hybrid schedules, and return to campus
Middle and high school families, please look for an email from your principal with general information regarding upcoming Hybrid schedules.
While we are waiting for the county to move to Red Tier status, FCUSD is actively and concurrently, pursuing two potential options within California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidelines to bring secondary students back to campus in a Hybrid model, while in Purple Tier status, and has submitted all necessary applications and documentation. Our requests to CDPH are:
- Allow us to return 6th grade to campus in a Hybrid model per CDPH guidelines
- Allow us to return all middle and high school students to campus in a Hybrid model, per the CDPH Specific Safety Application process
We anticipate hearing from public health soon as to their decision. As soon as we are notified, the District and schools will communicate specifics directly to parents. Please continue to check your email.
Elementary families: Friday, Feb 26 will be full Distance Learning
As a reminder, all elementary students will be in full Distance Learning, Friday, February 26. Students will begin their day with a synchronous meeting with their teacher in the morning, and asynchronous work for the remainder of the day to allow teachers time to prepare report cards.
Thank you for your understanding and we appreciate your patience.
