Our first day back we had many “glows” and a few “grows” as well, as we embarked together on this new experience of Distance Learning. We know that MANY of our families had varying degrees of success when it came to connecting with teachers, or the learning programs, or even navigating Chromebooks. Staff and District leadership are aware of these challenges.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no attendance penalties during this first week of school.  

During these first few days, you may see an attendance code that says absent or not engaged pop up in Powerschool. PLEASE DISREGARD. We want to give time for tech issues to be resolved and for teachers to connect with their students.

As a reminder, if you need tech support, please submit a Support Request, with your student(s) name and school, on this website: www.fcusd.org/tech

We understand there are challenges with Distance Learning, and we are in this together with you. So please take a deep breath and hang in there with us. We look forward to robust learning as soon as we are all connected. 

Nuestro primer día de regreso tuvo muchos "positivos" y algunos "crecimientos" también, ya que nos embarcamos juntos en esta nueva experiencia de aprendizaje a distancia. Sé que MUCHOS de ustedes tuvieron distintos grados de éxito cuando se trataba de conectarse con sus maestros, o los programas de aprendizaje, o incluso navegar por el Chromebook. Quiero que sepan que mi personal y el liderazgo del distrito están al tanto de estos desafíos.

TENGA EN CUENTA: No habrá sanciones por asistencia durante esta primera semana de clases. 

Durante estos primeros días, es posible que vea un código de asistencia que dice "ausente" o "no ocupado" en Powerschool. FAVOR DE IGNORAR. Queremos dar tiempo para que se resuelvan los problemas técnicos y para que los profesores se conecten con sus alumnos.

Como recordatorio, si necesita soporte técnico, envíe una Solicitud de Apoyo, con el nombre de su (s) estudiante (s) y la escuela, en este sitio web: www.fcusd.org/tech 

Entendemos que existen desafíos con el aprendizaje a distancia, y estamos en esto junto con usted. Así que, por favor, respire hondo y aguante con nosotros. Esperamos un aprendizaje sólido tan pronto como estemos conectados.
