FCUSD uses ParentSquare as our official, districtwide communication platform. ParentSquare has been fully integrated since 2024 and is the primary way families receive school and district information.

What is ParentSquare?

ParentSquare helps FCUSD connect with families in one consistent, secure place. Using ParentSquare, families can receive:

  • District and school news and reminders
  • Classroom and teacher messages
  • Event information and sign-ups
  • Emergency alerts (such as school closures or schedule changes)

ParentSquare automatically uses the primary contact information families have on file in PowerSchool. Keeping your PowerSchool contact details up to date ensures you don’t miss important messages.

Getting Started

Most families already have an active ParentSquare account. If you haven’t logged in yet, you can quickly get started:

  • Download the ParentSquare mobile app (recommended), or
  • Visit www.parentsquare.com/signin and sign in using the email address or mobile phone number on file with your school

If your contact information matches our records, ParentSquare will guide you through account activation automatically.

Language Translation Support

ParentSquare allows families to receive messages in their preferred language. Two-way translation is supported, making it easy for families and staff to communicate—each person can write in their own language.

Notification Preferences

Families control how often they receive non‑urgent notifications:

  • Instant: Messages are delivered in real time
  • Digest: Non‑urgent messages are grouped into one daily email (sent in the evening)

  • App: Menu ☰ → Account → Notifications
