May is AAPI month
FCUSD honors and celebrates Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The Library of Congress provides access to exhibits, collections, videos, and images to learn about the Asian and Pacific Island experience in America.

May recognitions for school employees
The California Department of Education (CDE) acknowledges various school faculty and staff throughout the month of May. Some of these monthly recognitions include National Teacher Appreciation Week, School Principals Day, National School Nurses Day, School Nutrition Employee Week, Classified School Employee Week, and National Speech Pathologist Day

TK registration is open now
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is expanding at FCUSD, and there are openings for new students available now. TK is a gift of time for our youngest learners; a steppingstone between preschool and kindergarten that allows time and space for children to develop socially and emotionally while building academic skills.
Any young learner turning five (5) between September 2 and February 2 is eligible! Locations for FCUSD TK programs next school year will be at:
- Blanche Sprentz Elementary
- Mangini Ranch Elementary
- Cordova Gardens Elementary
- Cordova Villa Elementary
- Navigator Elementary
