Mills Middle School Softball Complex grand opening!
Last Saturday, FCUSD leadership, in partnership with the city of Rancho Cordova and the Cordova Girls Softball League, gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the Mills Middle School Softball Complex. Our Board and Superintendent were invited to say a few words and throw the first pitch to open the season.
The 15-acre complex adjacent to Mills Middle school houses first-class amenities, seven softball fields, a snack bar, and a beautiful plaza. The City of Rancho Cordova contributed $3 million to this project through the city’s Community Enhancement & Investment Fund. Cordova Girls Softball fundraised over the years and contributed roughly $50,000. The Folsom Cordova Unified School District contributed $5 million through Measure P bond funds and facilitated the construction of the complex.
