At last night’s Board Meeting special presentations were given to honor student achievements.

Winter sports teams acknowledged

English Language Learners celebrated

Principal Jerad Hyden of Cordova High School introduced two stellar students who shared their stories with the Board.

Both of these remarkable students came to the United States not knowing a single word of English, and are now fluent in English, excelling in their courses and now help other students learn English and make smooth transitions to a new home country.

In Folsom Cordova USD, 2533 of our students are English Language Learners. Dedicated teachers and staff with English Language Development programs like this one at Cordova High School exist throughout the District, meeting the needs of students learning English.
