Dear FCUSD Community,
At last night’s Board Meeting, we enjoyed a special presentation in recognition of fall sports teams and coaches. Despite challenges brought on by the pandemic, athletic programs from all three comprehensive high schools commenced and enjoyed successes. Teams and players honored included:
- Cordova High School- Boys Varsity Cross Country- League Champs for GSL
- Vista Del Lago High School- Varsity Football Team – CIF-SJS D4 Semi-Final
- Folsom High School- Varsity Football Team – CIF-SJS D1 Section Champs, NorCal D1-AA Champs, CIF State Runner-Up D1-AA

Twenty-six student-athletes were recognized for being selected by the Sac Bee as All-Metro Players. In addition, two coaches were honored as “Coach of the Year” for their sport.
These teams embody the athletic philosophy that “both the student-athlete and the sport itself should be a credit to the school and the community.”
The winter sports teams and coaches will be recognized at the March 24, 2022, Board Meeting.
Second Interim Budget Report
The Board approved the 2021-22 Second Interim Report certifying that Folsom Cordova Unified School District will be in positive status and able to meet its financial obligations for the current and next two subsequent years.
School Districts are required to provide interim financial reports twice annually. The interim reports are required so that the County Office of Education and California Department of Education are notified of the ability of a School District to meet its financial obligations for the remainder of the current fiscal year and two subsequent fiscal years.
