IMPORTANT: FCUSD Message regarding social media trend

FCUSD Community:

We have learned of warnings being posted on TikTok about nationwide school shootings on Dec. 17. These posts are being shared across the country and to date, there is no information that these social media postings are directed toward any Folsom Cordova Unified schools or are credible threats. We continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners who are also aware of these social media posts and staff at FCUSD will continue to monitor for any updates related to these rumors.

 We ask that parents/guardians speak with their students about using social media platforms mindfully and not sharing information that may be inaccurate. As always, it’s important that if any student, parent/guardian, staff member or community member sees something suspicious to please report it to a trusted adult at school immediately or call local law enforcement. Folsom Cordova Unified School District takes all concerns about safety seriously and will respond accordingly to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
