Update: Message to FCUSD Secondary Families
August 24, 2021
Dear Secondary Families,
Middle and high school families, receiving an automated attendance notification may be experiencing a delay or duplication of notices. While absences are noted correctly in PowerSchool, the software that sends automated notifications for a student’s absence is malfunctioning. This issue is affecting secondary attendance notifications only. Elementary automated notifications are fully functioning.
The vendor is aware of their software malfunction and is working now to fix the issue. FCUSD is one of many school districts across the county affected by this issue and at this time, the vendor does not have a timeline for resolving it.
To minimize disruption, FCUSD is temporarily turning off automated attendance notifications for middle and high school students, until this issue is resolved. Elementary absence notifications will continue.
Please continue to monitor your student’s PowerSchool profile for all up-to-date information, including absences.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
