CALIFORNIA STATE SEAL OF BILITERACY
The State Seal of Biliteracy (SSB) is an award given to graduating high school students who have studied and accomplished proficiency in English and another language or languages. Every year, qualified students obtain an extra insignia on their high school diploma to reward their extra effort. These students are documented as officially bilingual, either if they are native foreign language speakers or just learned it along the way.
