Superintendent's Budget Advisory Committee (SBAC)
(formerly Budget Advisory Committee (BAC))
The purpose of the SBAC:

The SBAC is comprised of representatives from various District stakeholders including board trustees, union representatives, parents, students, and district staff.

Review All Components of the General Fund Budget – Examine every aspect of the District’s general fund, beginning with Education Service Center (ESC) departments, and extending to site allocations, cash flow, reserves, and other elements that affect the long-term stability of the budget.

Engage with District Departments and Programs – Hear directly from each department/program to understand operations and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.

Identify Savings and Revenue Growth – Explore strategies to reduce costs, increase revenue, and strengthen the District’s long-term financial position.

Align with District Goals – Ensure recommendations support the District’s Process Targets (Continuous Improvement, Coaching, PLC implementation) and Performance Targets (3rd Grade Literacy, 5th–8th Grade Math, College & Career Readiness/A–G, and Systemwide Connectedness).
