Hello Scientists!

I am pleased to join you at Folsom Middle School as your 6th Grade Science Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.  I was raised in Folsom and attended K-12 in the Folsom Cordova School District.  This includes my middle school years right here at FMS! I've always been curious about the world around me, and middle school is where I began to seriously take an interest in science. 

After receiving my Bachelors Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, I earned my Teaching Credential and Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from California State University, Monterey Bay.  I began my teaching career at Los Arboles Middle School, followed by three years at North Monterey County High School teaching Integrated Science and Biology. It was a tough decision to leave the school I became a part of, the friendships I made, and the beautiful area I enjoyed exploring.  However, the time seemed right, and I'm thrilled to be 'home' near my family and friends again.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my rescue pup, Zuri, and anything to do with the great outdoors, especially if it's with family and friends.

I am so excited about this school year, and to join you in being curious and interested in the world around us.  Let's make it a great year together!
