• Ways For Parents To Help Their Children Be Successful

    • Encourage your child to be ready to engage, participate, think critically, and have a positive mindset (mistakes are part of learning!)
    • Encourage children to be proactive in their education by asking questions in class, and communicating with their teachers (in person, via email, or via Google Classroom)
    • Help your child arrive to class on time, prepared for school and follow all school rules
    • Students should have a place free of distraction when at home (no cell phones)
    • Check the school website and your child’s planner (it might be helpful to purchase one since Jagendas were not provided this year), read messages sent home via email and listen to messages sent home on the phone
    • Help monitor your child’s social media access and activity
    • Encourage your child to take advantage of extra help from their teachers (Daily 8:30-8:45 am in Room 311 for math help!)
    • Encourage your child to get involved at Folsom Middle, join clubs, tryout for sports etc. Middle school should be fun. Embrace change!
