Welcome Students and Families to 4th grade in Room 21! We are so excited to be a part of your journey here at Empire Oaks. It will be a year of discovery and friendship as we learn about California's magnificent history, explore mathematics and participate in novel studies all while growing as a classroom community! 

Mrs. Dalton lives in El Dorado Hills with her husband and 3 sons. During her teaching career, she has taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade and now 4th grade- which happens to be her favorite! When she's not in the classroom you can find her cheering on her sons at soccer games, baseball games, paddle board races and everywhere in between! She loves spending time at the beach with her family, reading and walking her little dog Ozzy. 

 Mrs. Swain is the mother of 2 grown children and feels blessed to get to spend her time with elementary school children. She has taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade and even spent 3 years teaching intervention here at Empire Oaks! She is excited to be returning to 4th grade this year. Mrs. Swain has a reputation for being a bit silly because she loves having fun in an academic setting! When she's not in the classroom, she enjoys cooking, skiing, gardening and reading.
