Mrs. Hoisington-Rozek
Welcome! I am very excited about being your teacher this year. I look forward to getting to know you.
A few fun facts about me.
I was born in California and grew up in Citrus Heights.
I attended San Francisco State University where I studied art history and history. I earned my multiple subject teaching credential from National University.
I love teaching and planning fun lessons for my students.
I have been teaching with Folsom Cordova Unified School District for over 25 years! Theodore Judah Elementary will be my third school. I began teaching at Peter J. Shields. Later, I moved to Navigator Elementary. I have taught all grades from first to fifth.
I have worked at a museum. Working there wasn't like "Night at the Museum" where the displays come to life at night, but my experience was a lot of fun. I volunteered as a docent with the Crocker Art Museum giving tours to people who visited the museum. I also worked in the museum's family programs, where I taught children and adults about artists and how to make art.
My husband is also a teacher. Mr. Rozek teaches history at two local community colleges.
I have one son, Logan. He is currently workign on earning a Masters in Public History.
My family loves to travel! One of our most memorable trips was to London, England in 2018. My sister lives in Norway, so I try to visit her as often as I can. My family has also toured Scotland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. I'm already planning my next adventure.
I like to be outdoors. I enjoy camping, hiking, and skiing. A goal of mine is to visit all the National Parks.
