Dribbling Skills
* Position the ball over the ball with a slight forward lean. Place the feet shoulder width apart with knees slightly bent and weight on the balls of your feet.
* Shift weight and balance the body on dribbling foot.
* Tap the ball softly with dribbling foot and then shift weight to other foot in preparation for receiving ball with other foot
* Receive the ball by lifting foot a few inches off the ground and stop the ball with the medial ( inside of your foot) side of foot.
* Push the ball back and forth between feet, contacting the ball with the inside of your feet .
Step 1 - Stationary Dribble :Tk-5th
1. Ready you - Position yourself with ball under your belly button and your feet on side of ball.
2. Tap Ball with one foot and shift to other foot
3. Tap with other foot and shift to other foot.
4. Tap with inside of feet.
Step 2 - Inside foot Dribble and move forward: K-5th
1. Ready you - Position yourself with ball under your belly button and your feet on side of ball.
2. Tap Ball ahead with one foot and shift to other foot
3. Toe out and tap ahead with other foot and shift to other foot.
4. Tap with inside of feet in front of your body .
Step 3- Mature form foot dribble by looking ahead. 1st-5th
1. Toe out and tap ahead
2. Step and Tap ahead
3. Toe In and Tap ahead
4.Look Ahead
Step 4 : Various Speeds - 2nd-5th
1. Toe In and Tap ahead
2. Step and Tap Ahead
3. Jogging Pace
4. Fast Pace
Step 5 : Curved Pathways 2nd -5th : Add cones , sticks or obstacles
Step 6 : Dribble and Pass : 3rd-5th : Pass to a partner or cone , stick or obstacle.
