• Hop

     

    Hop With Support:   1. Lift Foot  - of non-support leg off ground

                                      2. Bend-  Flexes knee and ankle of support leg

                                      3. Raise-  Extends knee and ankle of support leg without leaving ground 

                                      4. Swing Knee- Swing knee of non-support leg upward

                                      5. Push - extend knee and ankle of support leg forcefully so feet leave off ground. 

     

    Hop In Place With Mature Form: 1.  Bend-  Flexes knee and ankle of support leg

                                                          2. Push - extend knee and ankle of support leg forcefully so feet leave off ground. 

                                                          3. Swing Knee- Swing knee of non-support leg upward

                                                          4. Bend  Elbows- land with with bent elbows - use arms to provide lift and balance

     

    Hop and Change Lead Foot:  1. Push and Swing Knee Forward- propels off right leg by pushing forward. Swing knee of left leg forward. 

                                                   2. Four Times on Right Leg- Go forward 4 times on  leg and maintain form for 4 hops

                                                   3. Switch Legs- Propel off left leg by pushing forward

                                                   4. Four Times on Left Leg- Maintain form for 4 hops on left leg.

                                                   5. Keep switching Legs - Four hops on each leg then when you get tired you may stop.
