•  Third Week of School (W-F)

Let's continue this week with an activity that the whole family can do. It's called SCOOT OVER (link to video for Chromebookslink to download video on home computerwritten lesson). As you'll see in the video or read from the written lesson plan, you'll need at least 2 people. You'll pass a beanbag, a pair of socks, a stuffed animal, or maybe even an apple under your legs to everyone in your group. Once everyone has touched the object, everybody scoots down to the next chair. Doing this activity around your kitchen table would work well. If you don't have a deck of cards, don't worry. You can do this activity without the cards. Here's some more ways to pass your object:
    over your head
    under your arm
    circle your body
touch the object to your nose then pass it
balance it on your head then pass it
balance it on the back of your hand then pass it
stand-up, turn around safely, then pass it
What other passing options can you create?
Try to increase your card count every time you play (if you use the cards)!

Next, let's do STRADDLE AND KICK (link to video for Chromebookslink to download video on home computerwritten lesson). This is a real brain booster. It requires concentration and teamwork. Again, get your family involved. Everyone benefits from exercises that stimulate their brain! You can place your hands on each other's shoulders or hold hands, maybe hold wrists.
