Hi! My name is Stephanie Bird. This is my 16th year teaching at Mills Middle School and I love it here. I became a teacher because I could not think of a better way to spend my time than sharing my passion for learning and curiosity about the world with today's young people. I was originally a 7th grade science teacher, but when our district implemented the Project Lead the Way program, I was excited to be chosen to teach it to Mills students. I earned my bachelor's degree from U.C. Davis and my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from University of the Pacific. Prior to teaching, I was a biologist and lab manager in the Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology department at U.C. Davis. My interests include camping, swimming, traveling, biking, crafting, and spending time with my family and friends. My husband, 12 year old son, 8 year old daughter, and 3 year old son are the lights of my world.
