Hello swimmers and families,
I hope you are all staying healthy and relatively stress-free during this current situation. I know we are all disappointed we will not be returning to finish out the season. I want you all to make sure you are taking care of yourselves and enjoying your time with your families. For those who are interested, I have posted a workout plan for you guys to do at home if you are looking for ways to stay in shape during the shelter-in-place. I will be sure to keep you updated on what's to come, but if you should have any questions I can answer in the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email or text (Remind)... Or just check in to say hi! I'm missing you all and hope you are well!
This is a supplemental workout plan that you can do at home if you want ideas to stay healthy, active, and in shape. It is the BBG program created by Kayla Itsines--I have used this program myself, and have actually used a number of these exercises as inspiration for our Friday dryland workouts! It is a big document, so just go ahead and skip to page 20 to get straight to workouts. I personally like this guide because it provides images of how to do each of the exercises properly (don't forget it is extremely important that you practice proper form with every exercise), and it is an entire 12-week plan already laid out for you that gets progressively more challenging. Hope you like it! If you already have your own ways to be active that you enjoy, then stick with what makes exercising FUN! Just thought I'd give a suggestion for those who need some guidance.
