Beginning Guitar is a performing arts class where the emphasis is on learning how to play the guitar in an ensemble setting. 

No musical experience is needed to be in this class. Students will study many styles and techniques that are found in acoustic, classical and contemporary styles.  Students will learn to read music, guitar tablature and chord charts, and to improvise and compose music.  

Each student will be provided with a guitar and text book.

All classwork information (assignments, assessments, daily work) will be updated on the Google Classroom.

Additional supplies needed include:

tuner (clip on or phone app)  I recommend the free app called Soundcorset.  This app acts as a tuner, metronome and has recording abilities.
