A Little About Your Teacher....
I have been teaching since 1998, and hope to share a great love of music with my students and the surrounding community! I received my music performance degree (Bachelor of Music in Choral Performance) from California State University, Northridge, and my music teaching credential from California State University, Sacramento. I recently completed my graduate studies with Brandman University, and earned a Master of Arts in Education. Learning is a life-long pursuit, and I'm happy to set a positive example for my students by continually choosing to find new ways to learn and improve.
I have extensive performing experience, and teach private lessons for voice/piano/guitar. I have performed across the United States - from the Kamehameha School in Honolulu, Hawaii to Carnegie Hall in New York City. I have performed in various stage productions and theatres, including the role of Mrs. Potts in "Beauty and the Beast" at the Woodland Opera House. I currently perform with the professional vocal ensemble RSVP and help lead music worship at Valley Springs Presbyterian Church in Roseville, CA. As a performing musician and teacher, I love being able to share what I am continually learning from valuable experiences with my students as they grow and mature in their abilities.
I have three wonderful daughters (twins - 11, 9) who keep me very busy outside of school. In addition to music and theatre, I enjoy fixing my home, reading in the shade, sailing on Lake Natoma, holding babies, hitting golf balls in the wrong direction, eating ice cream, and traveling to far away places.
