• COURSE DESCRIPTIONS 

    ANIMATION 1 is a course in which students express their visual creativity through drawing, storytelling, and other visual mediums. Throughout the course, students will explore the history and evolution of animation, learn basic drawing skills, and work within Adobe Programs. This class will take students through the industry process of developing an animation; from story to character development, script to storyboard, and a final animatic- with everything in between! 

    Animation is considered a CTE pathway which incorporates an emphasis on career readiness and professional development. This includes originality, technique, collaboration, productivity/time management, organization, and task completion. 

    There is no prerequisite for this course, however, general computer experience is crucial.

     

     

    ANIMATION 2 is a program that provides an opportunity to learn job skills, explore career options, and create a professional portfolio. This class will take students through the industry process of pre- production, production, and post- production of creating an animation. This includes pitching ideas, being part of a production team with specific job titles, and producing a client based animation- with everything in between!

     

    Animation is considered a CTE pathway which incorporates an emphasis on career readiness and professional development. This includes originality, technique, collaboration, productivity/time management, organization, and task completion. 

    Prerequisite: Animation 1 (Prior knowledge of some animation software and animation processes is required)
