NROTC Application Process
Air Force JROTC Scholarship (J-100)
Full scholarship with benefits including:
- 4-years of 100% paid tuition at any university, or crosstown partner, with an AFROTC detachment;
- $10,000 per-year allowance for university-owned/on-campus housing;
- an annual book stipend; and a monthly cadet stipend.
Accepting the scholarship will require a cadet to meet all AFROTC requirements and pursue an officer commission. This scholarship program focuses on character, leadership, and citizenship and it encourages future leaders to seek careers in the US Air Force and Space Force.

The AFJROTC Flight Academy is a scholarship to generate aviation interest among high school students and provides pathways to aviation careers. The purpose of the Flight Academy is to provide an opportunity for selected cadets to earn their Private Pilot Certification (PPC) while simultaneously increasing an interest in aviation. The program goal is to leverage the diverse Air Force Junior ROTC cadet population, which is 43% female and 57% minority, to help address the predicted need of 6,000 ‑ 8,000 pilots per year for the next 20 years across industry and the U.S. military.
Accepted Flight Academy Scholarship recipients will:
- Attend private pilot training at public/private universities throughout the U.S. over the summer months for approximately 8 weeks.
- Receive free tuition, room, board, meals, textbooks, air travel.
- Pay Class I Flight Physical and Flight Training Safety Program (FTSP) fee, if required.
