Evening Programs for Students & Families

  • UCLA Information Night - Tuesday, October 2 in the Vista Library.  This regional informational session will be offered by the UCLA Deputy Director of Admissions.  A link will be provided for signing up closer to the event.  Vista seniors will receive the link via e-mail.  Others can request it by signing up in the Career Center.
     
    FAFSA Night - Thursday, October 4, 6-9 p.m. in the Vista Library.  Volunteers from the California Commission on Student Aid will be on hand to present information about the FAFSA and student aid, and then assist families with completing their application. Registration is required. THIS EVENT IS FULL.
     
    • FAFSA help workshops will be held in the Career Center after school on October 24, November 14, and December 5 from 1:45-2:45 p.m. E-mail Jcalderwood@fcusd.org to sign up.

    Naviance Night for Parents - Thursday, November 8, 6-7 p.m. in the Vista Library. Want to know about the many features in Naviance that help support college & career exploration, SAT test preparation, resume building tools, and more?  Attend this evening program to learn about this great program!

    College Night for Freshmen/Sophomores - January 23, 6:30 p.m. in the Multi.  Vanessa Ea from the University of Colorado will share what students can be doing now to best prepare for college and the application process.
     
    Folsom Lake College Parent/Student Information Night - January 29, 2019, 6 p.m. in the Vista del Lago Multipurpose Room.  Receive information from FLC's Outreach Specialists about degree programs, certificates and transferring to a 4-year university from FLC.  The application process, including information about assessments, orientation, education plans and registrations will be included.  There will also be some information about financial aid resources and how to qualify for free tuition through the California Promise Program for first year students.
     
    Out of State Mini College Fair & "Why Consider Out of State" Presentation - Tuesday, February 12, 6 p.m. in the Multi-purpose Room.
     
    Military Options Information Night - CANCELLED - Suggest visiting Career Expo at Union Mine HS on March 13, 6 p.m.
     
    Scholarship Presentation Night - Tuesday, May 21, 6 p.m.  Students receiving local scholarships will be invited to this event.
