Miss Stacey Mohler

Hello and Welcome.  I am originally from Southern California and then moved north to go to college at Cal Poly SLO.  After four amazing years in college I earned my degree in Ecology and Systematic Biology with a concentration in Ecology.  From there I moved north again and found my way to San Francisco State to get my teaching credential.  After getting my credential I was lucky enough to find a job in South San Francisco at Westbourgh Middle School.  I remained there for three years.  Then decided it was time to move north again and found my way into Folsom.  I am starting my 18th year here at FMS which makes this my 21st Year.  Since coming to FMS I have coached basketball, volleyball and Track and Field.  I have taught both 7th and 8th grade science but found my place permanently in eight grade.  I am now the Department Chair for our amazing science department.

For fun I like to travel.  I have made it to 18 countries on three continents.  Can't wait to discover so many more.  I have even taken school groups to Costa Rica to save sea turtles and to Ecuador to experience the amazon.  I am an avid Scuba Diver and a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.  Go Pack GO!!!!!  I like to run and workout at the gym.  I am also a major science nerd.  One of my favorite spots is the Exploratorium in SF, I have been part of their teacher institute for 21 years now and you will see a lot of their influence in my classroom.
