Smokeless SchoolDays Program (SSD) is a positive alternative to suspension of students found in violation of The Districts Tobacco Use Policy. This program is also offered on a voluntary basis to those youth who use tobacco outside of school time and are open to looking at their relationship with nicotine. SSD is a cessation awareness program that develops cessation skills among youth-bringing them closer to making a positive change in their tobacco using behavior. The 4 hour interactive workshop is offered at school, during the day, to support students' voluntary participation. The workshops are facilitated by a trained and respected school staff and a community partner staff from Recovery Happens.
