Ms. Jessica Kahn

With almost 30 years in education, I have had the pleasure of working with students at all age levels.  My youngest students were in a birth to age 3 program and my oldest were high school students aged 22.  Most of my experience has been with elementary aged students.  I have also taught students with a wide variety of educational disabilities but find I really enjoy working with students who have difficulty regulating their emotions and appropriately communicating their strong feelings.  The Counseling Enhanced Program (CEP) fits me perfectly!  Having credentials in teaching students with both Mild/Moderate Disabilities and Moderate/Severe Disabilities taught me a range of techniques and strategies.  The students and I then use that knowledge to develop a plan that will help each student become more successful in accessing their education.

In the classroom, I am lucky to be joined by Donna Richardson and Keri Molina as Para-Educators who know their stuff.  We are an excellent team who has worked together since 2007.

Our team also includes, GiGi, a fully trained Facility Assistance Dog from Canine Companions for Independence and usually a puppy who we are raising to become a service dog for Canine Companions for Independence.  This organizationprovides highly trained service dogs for people with disabilities at no charge go the recipient.  For more information, about Canine Companions for Independence CLICK HERE
