Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Wireless Help

  • The FCUSD offers staff and students access to the internet through the Wi-Fi network.

You may use your personal device on this network per the district’s BYOD policy

    PLEASE NOTE:

    • As of March 1st, 2017 our network settings have changed
    • If you connected to our FCUSD-Staff/Student network prior to March 1st, 2017, you will need to “forget” (delete) your FCUSD-Staff/Student network from your device and re-connect (instructions below)
    • This information only applies to personal devices NOT to district owned devices

Options on how to connect to the network:

    1. Guest Access – The FCUSD-Wireless-Guest Wi-Fi network is for temporary access for public visitors and requires an email address to connect.
      1. Once connected, you will receive a message that you are “Connected” to this network or it may display “Security Recommended” because this is an unsecured network.
      2. A screen requesting an email address will automatically open. If it does not automatically appear, open any webpage and you will be re-directed to our login page.
      3. FCUSD does filter all internet content for the safety of our students.  On this public network connection, you may experience web pages that will not load.
    2. BYOD Student Access – The FCUSD-Student Wi-Fi network is intended for current Students to access our network for academic purposes.
      1. Once connected, a window asking for your username and password will appear.
      2. The next screen to appear will ask you to confirm that you trust that source. Click Trust or Accept.  The server requesting this trust is called esc-ise-1(or 2).fcusd.org.
      3. Your device will now automatically connect and you will not need to login again unless your password is changed. If your password changed please “forget” the FCUSD-Student network and follow these steps to re-add it to your device.
    3. BYOD Staff Access – The FCUSD-Staff Wi-Fi network is intended for current staff members to access our network for District related purposes.
